Everything journalists need to cover NCEA — expert contacts, organizational background, downloadable assets, and recent coverage.
The National Center for Energy Analytics (NCEA) produces data-driven analyses of energy policies, plans, and technologies. Founded in 2024, NCEA is devoted to the supply and use of energy essential for human flourishing.
NCEA’s research is rooted in the physics and economics of energy. The center combines original research, historical context, and policy recommendations to clarify tradeoffs, constraints, and consequences of energy decisions. NCEA scholars include former government officials, Wall Street analysts, university professors, and industry veterans.
NCEA publishes the Index of Leading Energy Indicators, a flagship tool tracking U.S. energy security across 18 risk indicators spanning oil, natural gas, uranium, critical minerals, and systemic factors from 1970 to 2035.
NCEA is nonpartisan and independent. All research, data sources, assumptions, and methodologies are transparently available on the NCEA website.
Available for interviews, commentary, op-eds, and congressional testimony on energy policy.
